(-) 76 years ago Saturday 24th of September 1938 Murderer George Ball aka George Sumner aka The Sack Murderer commits suicide by a shot through the heart at the age of 46 in The Sociable Inn, Farm to Market Road 327, Elmendorf, Texas, United States. Ball is known to have killed two and said to have killed as many as 20 women whose remains were fed to his five pet alligators. When two Bexar County sheriff's deputies went to question him, Ball pulled a handgun from his cash register and killed himself with a bullet through the heart.

Borel first shot his stepfather Yves Bichet, his 11-year-old half-brother Jean-Yves Bichet. Then he went to the neighbouring village of Cuers and shot dead 12 people with a .22 rifle.
