Composer Arnold Schönberg dies of heart failure at the age of 77 in Los Angeles, California, United States.

Schönberg had spent the whole day in bed suffering from triskaidekaphobia. On his seventy-sixth birthday, his friend, mentor and fellow composer Oskar Adler wrote Schönberg a note warning him that the year was a critical one: 7 + 6 = 13. This stunned and depressed the composer, for up to that point he had only been wary of multiples of 13 and never considered adding the digits of his age.

Baker had both a recipe for LSD and a copy of The Satanic Bible in his possession. He readily confessed involvement in the accident, startling police as he added "I have a problem. I'm a cannibal."

Would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks known for attempting to assassinate Ex-President Donald Trump is shot dead by a Secret Service Counter Assault Team sniper after attempting to assassinate ex-President Donald Trump during a campaign rally at the age of 21 in Butler Farm Show Grounds, Butler, Pennsylvania, United States.

Crooks fired eight rounds from an AR-15–style rifle before being killed. Trump was shot in the upper right ear. 50-year-old Corey Comperatore was killed and two other adult male rally attendees were critically injured.

The widow had accidentally put a powdered insecticide on the dish of wheat and raisins while preparing it, after having mistaken it for powdered sugar.

Dornier was chased by 40 police officers and wounded in the stomach during a shootout before being taken into custody. He was diagnosed as suffering from schizophrenia and thus could not be held accountable for his crime according to French law.
