(x) 46 years ago Tuesday 17th of September 1968 43-year-old Wiener Aktionist Otto Muehl performs 'Aktion nr. 50 / Filmvorführung mit Pissaktion' in Kritisch Literarischer Club Bastion, Max-Eyth-Straße 57, Kirchheim, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Muehl created a scandal causing the club to be closed by the city administration.

(x) 31 years ago Saturday 17th of September 1983 24-year-old Performance artist Danny Devos aka DDV performs 'Now I am Death the Destroyer of Worlds - 1' in Campo Santo, Antwerpse Steenweg, Gent, Oost-Vlaanderen, Belgium. On the Campo Santo graveyard I dug a grave. After I lay down in it Ross Cannon closed it with earth. While the audience was transported with buses to the next location of the exhibition we moved the grave to the Gele Zaal in Gent.

(x) 31 years ago Saturday 17th of September 1983 24-year-old Performance artist Danny Devos aka DDV performs 'Now I am Death the Destroyer of Worlds - 2' in Gele Zaal, Nonnemeersstraat 26, Gent, Oost-Vlaanderen, Belgium. This time I lay upside down in the grave with a chain attached to my feet. I was pulled out of the grave while films and slides about Robert Oppenheimer and death were projected onto me. In a microphone I repeated: "Now I am death the destroyer of worlds". The sound of my voice was electronically distorted into an unearthly grinding and thundering by Paul Hurst.

(x) 11 years ago Wednesday 17th of September 2003 59-year-old Serial killer Charles Gurmukh Sobhraj, originally Bharat Rajpurohit aka Bad Blood is recognised in a street by a journalist in Kathmandu, Bagmati, Nepal. Sobhraj still had a warrant out for the 1975 murders of 29-year-old Connie Bronzich and 26-year-old Laurent Ormond Carrière. He was arrested two days later.
