Mansfield, her 40-year-old lover Sam Brody, their 20-year-old driver Ronnie Harrison, and three of her children - 8-year-old Miklós Jeffrey Palmer Hargitay, 6-year-old Zoltán Anthony Hargitay and 3-year-old Mariska Magdalena Hargitay were heading for New Orleans where she was scheduled to appear for an early-morning television interview. The 1966 Buick Electra 225, which was reportedly going 80 miles per hour, crashed into the rear of a tractor-trailer that had slowed down because of a truck spraying mosquito fogger. The three adults in the front seat were killed instantly; the children in the rear survived with minor injuries.
