(x) 77 years ago He Entered the Apartment Once Again Friday 5th of October 1945 Evelyn Peterson is hit on the head with a metal bar by serial killer William Heirens aka Catch Me Before I Kill More in Midway Drexel Apartments, 6020 Drexel Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, United States. Peterson blacked out from the fierce blow to her head and fell to the ground. Heirens tied her up, quickly left the penthouse and shut the door. Peterson awoke in her apartment to the sounds of Heirens banging on her door. She got up off the floor with her hands still bound and walked to the apartment door and opened it, letting Heirens in. Heirens once again entered the apartment, helping put a blanket around Peterson but not untying her, simply telling her to stay quiet. Heirens then left Peterson and told her he was going to get her some help.

Quicker was thought to be the murderer of Monika Tafel on 4 June. 15 years later Joachim Kroll was to be found the real killer roaming around in Walsum and the Ruhr area.

(-) 28 years ago They Were Dressed in a White, Black or Golden Cape Wednesday 5th of October 1994 Leader of the l'Ordre International Chevaleresque de Tradition Solaire cult Luc Jouret commits suicide by a shot in the head at the age of 47 in Les Roches de Cristal, Salvan, Valais, Switzerland. With Jouret 48 members of the Order of the Solar Temple commited suicide or were shot dead. 25 people were found in Les Roches de Cristal in Salvan and 23 at La Rochette in Cheiry, Fribourg. The victims were in most cases dressed in a white, black or golden ritual cape, depending on the degree of initiation. In Salvan the victims were injected or injected themselves with a poison based on curare, opioid and benzodiazepine. In Cheiry 20 victims died of one or more bu llets to the head, two suffocated by a plastic bag around their head and another probably in the same way.
