(+) 68 years ago Wednesday 6th of November 1946 Serial killer Jürgen Bartsch, originally Karl-Heinz Sadrozinski aka Der Kirmesmörder is born in Essen, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. Bartsch was an illegitimate child whose birth mother died of tuberculosis soon afterward, and he spent the first months of his life being cared for by nurses. At 11 months he was adopted by a butcher and his wife in Langenberg, who gave him the name Jürgen Bartsch.

Years later, a ticket found in this book led the police to a locker in the railwaystation where Hindley's lover Ian Brady kept pictures and tape-recordings of their crimes.
