The SS Mont-Blanc was a French cargo ship fully loaded with wartime explosives that collided with the Norwegian vessel SS Imo. Approximately twenty minutes later, a fire on board the SS Mont-Blanc ignited her explosive cargo, causing a cataclysmic explosion that devastated the Richmond District.

On the night of 18 November 18 Knight's screams woke her husband and sister in their home. They discovered Knight writhing in pain in her bed with her skin peeling off her back under her bedclothes. A doctor that was called identified the wounds as some form of burn and gave Knight morphine. She died from toxaemia.

(x) 55 years ago Sunday 6th of December 1964 16-year-old Serial killer Edmund Emil Kemper aka The Co-ed Killer is committed to a maximum-security facility for the shooting of his grandparents on 27 August 1964 in Atascadero State Hospital, Atascadero, California, United States. Tests during Kemper's time at Atascadero revealed that he had an I.Q. of 136. Later during adulthood he tested at 145. Kemper was released from prison in 1969 after serving fewer than five years. At the time of his release he had grown to 2,06 m and weighed close to 130 kg.

During a scuffle in front of the stage Hunter took s long-barreled black .22 caliber revolver from his jacket and pointed it in the air. Passaro stabbed Hunter five times in the upper back. Witnesses also reported Hunter was stomped on by several Hells Angels while he was on the ground.

(-) 30 years ago He Was Fighting Feminism Wednesday 6th of December 1989 Mass murderer Marc Lépine, originally Gamil Rodrigue Liass Gharbi aka The Women-Hating Rambo commits suicide by a shot in the head at the age of 25 in École Polytechnique, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. In the twenty minutes before Lépine shot dead fourteen women and injured fourteen people more. Lépine separated the women from about 50 men, instructing the men to leave and stated that he was "fighting feminism" and opened fire. Lépine continued through the second and third floors, targeting women only. The victims were 21-year-old Geneviève Bergeron, 23-year-old Hélène Colgan, 23-year-old Nathalie Croteau,  22-year-old Barbara Daigneault, 21-year-old Anne-Marie Edward, 29-year-old Maud Haviernick, 25-year-old Maryse Laganière, 23-year-old Maryse Leclair, 22-year-old Anne-Marie Lemay, 28-year-old Sonia Pelletier, 21-year-old Michèle Richard, 23-year-old Annie St-Arneault, 20-year-old Annie Turcotte and 31-year-old Barbara Klucznik-Widajewicz. Lépine's inside jacket pocket contained a suicide letter containing a list of nineteen Quebec women whom Lépine apparently wished to kill because he considered them feminists.

At the time of his arrest Clark was wanted for the rape of 33 women. Clark later confessed to the police that he had actually raped and attacked more than 100 women.

Dutroux' wife Michelle Martin allegedly fed her husband's German shepherd dogs but did not follow his orders to feed the girls.

(-) 19 years ago Wednesday 6th of December 2000 Multiple murderer and cop killer Daniel Joe Hittle is executed by lethal injection at the age of 50 in Huntsville Prison, 815 12th Street, Huntsville, Texas, United States. When 48-year-old Garland police officer Gerald Walker stopped Hittle for speeding, Hittle shot him in the chest at close range. He then proceded to Mary Goss' home, kicked in the door and opened fire, killing 39-year-old Goss, 36-year-old Richard Cook Jr. and 19-year-old Raymond Gregg. After reloading Hittle shot Goss' 4-year-old daughter Christy Condon. Hittle was on parole for killing his adoptive par ents at the time of the murders.
