The lynch mob forced their way through steel doors into White's prison cell, took him to a field near the scene of the crime, lit a pyre of straw and fence posts smashed into kindling, coiled ropes around the man and threw him into the fire. White twice freed himself only to be thrown back into the flames as thousands of all ages watched and some cheered.

(x) 12 years ago Friday 22nd of June 2007 48-year-old Performance artist Danny Devos aka DDV performs 'La Rencontre Fortuite sur une Œuvre de Donald Judd d'une Montagne de Sable et d'un Lac' in Circuit, 9 Avenue de Montchoisi, Lausanne, Vaud, Switzerland. I took a suitcase with some 20kgs of earth on the plane to Genève and the train to Lausanne. In the gallery I made an installation which related to the work of minimal artist Donald Judd. Instead of perspex and aluminium shapes I used 3 old drawers that I found at a garbage dump. I filled 2 buckets with water of Lac Leman. I stepped into the bottom drawer of my Donald Judd piece and proceeded to open the suitcase. I grabbed some of the earth inside and put it in the drawer above my head. Then I took some water from a bucket and poured it in the top drawer.
