On "Hallamas Day, being the first of Nouembar ... the Kings Maiesties plaiers" performed "A Play in the Banketinghouse at Whit Hall Called The Moor of Venis." The work is attributed to "Shaxberd."

42-year-old deer hunter Victor 'Bunk' Travis and his companion Ray Burgess are presumably shot dead by 46-year-old Murderer and body snatcher Ed Edward Theodore Gein aka America's Most Bizarre Murderer in Plainfield, Wisconsin, United States.

Travis and Burgess and their car were never to be seen again. A massive search was conducted but there was no trace of them. Travis' dead dog and pieces of clothing were eventually recovered but the hunters and their car had vanished from the area.

23-year-old Mass murderer Jack Gilbert Graham plants a dynamite bomb in his mother, Daisie King's suitcase that was subsequently loaded aboard United Airlines Flight 629 and exploding over tracts of farmland and sugar beet fields in Longmont, Colorado, United States.

Graham had purchased $37,500 worth of life insurance money policies in the airport terminal just before the aircraft's departure at Stapleton Airfield in Denver, Colorado. 44 people were killed in the blast, there were no survivors.

On 2 November the Poznan newspaper Courier Zachodni received a red-ink letter quoting Stefan Zeromsky's 1928 novel 'Popioli': "Only tears of sorrow can wash out the stain of shame, only pangs of suffering can blot out the fires of lust."

27-year-old Performance artist Danny Devos aka DDV performs 'L'Age D'Or nr2' in an installation by Anne-Mie Van Kerckhoven aka AMVK in Stadsschouwburg, Maastricht, Limburg, Netherlands.

In an AMVK-installation I was laying naked on a rotating platform, naked with my legs spread, my feet tied to a branch. By shuffling over the platform it looked as if I was moving forward, but yet remaining on the same spot. On the background a film of the same performance in a wood was projected.

Mass murderer Gang Lu commits suicide by a shot in the head at the age of 28 in University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa, United States.

Lu killed 47-year-old professor Christoph K. Goertz, 44-year-old chairman Dwight R. Nicholson, assistant professor Robert Alan Smith, 27-year-old fellow graduate student Linhua Shan, 56-year-old assistant vice president for academic affairs T. Anne Cleary and seriously wounded 23-year-old student employee Miya Rodolfo-Sioson before committing suicide. Lu was infuriated because his dissertation 'Study of the "Critical Ionization Velocity" Effect by Particle-in-Cell Simulation' did not receive t he prestigious D.C. Spriestersbach Dissertation Prize. In the months prior to the shooting Lu wrote five letters explaining the reasons for his planned actions.
